About Us

Dog Pound Designs is an apparel company established at Aurora High School in Aurora, NE. Our small business started in August 2019, with seven students, two teachers, and just a few boxes of equipment. Students participating in Dog Pound Designs have learned how to be team members, meet deadlines, work with clients, create shirt designs, safely operate the equipment, and create professional looking accounting documents. Our process involves students who convert the designs to the cut vinyl design, then another group of students work at weeding the vinyl to be pressed to the shirt which will later be shipped out to the customer. Dog Pound Designs puts into practice business strategies that students have learned in previous business and social studies classes. Students are able to practice their workplace skills and make them better prepared with job-ready skills. We are now ready to expand our business further and are open to assist our customers more with their promotional needs.
